Thanks to those who came out to our last-show-for-an-undertimined-amount-of-time show... Jon leaves for Guatemala on January 3rd.. and will be back in May... in other southern news.. i (Nils) am going to Mexico on Friday but "I'll be home for Christmas"... in the meantime we will be trying out some possible candidates for our full band....
many ask in a pleistocene-era-tone-of-voice, "new instruments, new people, new name?" and my response to Pauly Shore's caveman friend is... "maybe? "

COME SEE WIDE AWAKE CITY FOR THE LAST TIME* ON DECEMBER 11th @ the Elephant and Castle - 9PM - FREEEEEE!
* jon is going to central america until May... it is quite possible during his absence we will acquire a full band...don't worry he'll join us again upon his return unless we are too "gringo" for him... so this is probably one of the last times to see us in our original state.

SEPTEMBER 26th, 2005
Last night at the Elephant & Castle we played our songs for the last time... kind of... We have decided to stop playing our current music and to write all new music before we play live again. It was kind of an anti climactic show to decide to do such a thing considering most people in the place were watching football on the plasma screen above us..... but playing all of our old material seems to be holding us back from writing new music that we're really excited about. So if you see our name on a show poster in the next 5 months it probably means that we're getting paid pretty good and we went back on our idea for some quick cash... so you won't be hearing much from Wide Awake City for the next little while until we're ready to unveil our new material. until then.....
